FREQUENCIES TRAVELER January 15, 2017 "Sui4 sui4 ping2 an1 ." I practiced. "Ai2 ," I breathed Light. I was reflecting aloud now during the last couple of weeks of the Lunar Year of The Monkey. January 28 would begin the Lunar Year of the Rooster... "'Age after age, peace'... was the first phrase. I followed it with the word 'love'. Ending one year and preparing for another.... I wanted to send out concepts of peace that lasts, peace, year after year. Love. I am content to simply send concepts... peace... love. Folks everywhere want prosperity. Do they want 'peace?' Do they want 'love?'" I asked aloud. "They say that they do..." You sound unsure. You are not certain of the public's real desires. "But the public seems to think that prosperity may be necessary first. Sign of the times, maybe." You are not in disagreement with the desire for higher love. I could tell. But, in these competitive times... "Does my Shadow want peace and love also? In Led Zepplin's song, 'Stairway To Heaven,' Robert Plant reminds us.... The Poet Li Bai reminds us.... that we each deal with our Shadow or Shadows. 'Facing my Shadow,' comes from a Li Bai poem many centuries ago. In our own time, Robert Plant sang that, as 'we wind on down the road', we were not alone, but rather we 'wind on down the road' with 'our Shadows taller than our souls...'" I read a translation, from the Chinese, of one of Li Bai's works: "'Amidst the flowers with a pot of wine. Drinking alone without a companion. Raising the wine cup and toasting the moon. Facing my Shadow, we have become three people.' "Three people: himself, the moon, his Shadow... never alone." "Depending upon his definition of Shadow." You add. "Which definition was he using?" "Could be any number of Shadows. I take your meaning. Ever walk on a sidewalk and have your personal Shadow PASS YOU BY?! I have. Have you ever started with one Shadow, but later saw several?" I cannot imagine that there could exist anyone who has ever been in a lighted situation who would not have noticed it when their single Shadow began to split into several Shadows, each in a different location. "Yes, I have," you say. "And so have I." I am listening. "Tricks of lighting..." You are interested. You have rested since we last exchanged ideas. "Now, if you consider the social definition of Shadow -- you know, someone who follows you around, like a vehicle tailing you or a stalker tracing your steps... this is a different meaning for the word -- then, in that kind of circumstance, the numbers of Shadows can be very large or constantly changing." "It really speaks volumes to me." I continue my query. "Both can be reflections of your own self. Both definitions ... 'personal Shadow' and the 'presense of others who hide in the shade'... both types of Shadows seem to be paying close attention to our every move... or maybe our Shadow is trapped, stuck to us...attached to us... traveling with us... occasionally seeming to get ahead of us, leading the way or trying to get there before us. Maybe our Shadow is trying to ESCAPE from our gaze. Sometimes Shadow walks at our side. I have seen Shadow looming large over me. What is... who is... our personal Shadow?" I know what you will say. "It's like trees. The stream of sunshine - that light which we call upon for growth -- is being blocked by our physical body. The sidewalk beyond the body is not receiving... lacks... the same quantity of sunlight as the side nearest the sun is receiving in that moment. The angle of the Shadow depends upon the angle of the sun (or light-source) to the body." You have given the most common explanation for Shadow's presence. We were taught that explanation in school. "Do you have any idea how profound that statement is?! Our denser apparent embodied shells or densified spirits are slowing, absorbing, should I say robbing or blocking, the whole? If I seek the spirit of my personal Shadow or my many personal Shadows, what will I find there? Will I find my forgotten past absorbed or lower spirit form still attached to my faster moving spirit? Am I simply seeing my alternate self or selves? And when you say that it's a 'trick of light'... I find my spirit says that you have spoken profoundly in ways some folks cannot imagine. 'Tricks of Light'... Others... others.... Well, others would write books, do art pieces or compose music based simply upon that phrase... and NEVER COME TO THE END OF THE SENTENCE." I pause to see if you have a comment. "Yes, we do hear that phrase all the time." You look as though your internal Thinker is activated. "If one is a lightbeing... lightbeingness... then, a 'trick of light,' -- if I may borrow a phrase -- A 'trick of light' is an interesting concept.
